Meet the artists

The music behind Drop 001.

A trance legend and a modern Welsh force—two artists connected by emotional music, unforgettable dancefloors and a genuine bond with the fans who make the scene what it is.

TRANCE LEGENDLange

Lange

One of the defining names of UK trance, Lange has helped shape the genre since the late 1990s. His career includes 20 UK Top 40 records, eight years in the DJ Mag Top 100 and performances at Tomorrowland, EDC, Dreamstate and A State of Trance. Classics including Drifting Away, Out of the Sky and Follow Me still bring generations of ravers together.

Why Lange belongs in Sound Pop

Follow Me carries the nostalgia, melody and emotional connection at the heart of trance—making Lange the perfect artist to lead Sound Pop's very first collectible drop.

MODERN TRANCE FORCEAsteroid

Asteroid

Welsh DJ and producer Asteroid has built an international name since 2015, taking his high-energy, uplifting sound from the UK and the Netherlands to audiences across Europe, Asia, Australia and Canada. His releases have appeared on Future Sound of Egypt, Armada, Subculture and Black Hole Recordings, earned multiple Beatport number ones and featured on A State of Trance.

Why Asteroid belongs in Sound Pop

Asteroid brings the energy and forward momentum of today's trance scene. His collaboration Symbiotic, with Scott Ramsay, gives Drop 001 its powerful modern edge and proudly represents Welsh talent on an international stage.

FEATURED COLLABORATORSYMBIOTIC

Scott Ramsay

UK-based trance DJ and producer Scott Ramsay has released tracks including Deep Impact, Pura Mens and Gänsehaut through Serenity Digital Music, and Coming Home, Smile and Turn the Page through Rated Records. His 2026 credits also include Stargazing / Elevatus and Ascension on Extrema Global Music, plus Waiting on Fables.

Scott's place in Drop 001

Scott is credited alongside Asteroid on Symbiotic, released by Deep Space | Music on 26 June 2026. The release credits Mathew John Thomas and Scott Ramsay as composers, which is why Scott is recognised here as Drop 001's featured collaborator.

A real Sound Pop moment

When Lange came to the stand.

One of the standout moments from our Timescape pre-launch was welcoming Lange to the Sound Pop stand and sharing the very first artist edition with him.

With Follow Me (Lange’s Club Mix), featuring The Morrighan, at the heart of Drop 001, his visit made the launch feel very real. It captured exactly what Sound Pop is about: artists, music and fans connecting in a completely new way.

A proud milestone in the Sound Pop story.

The excitement behind the drop

Asteroid at Timescape.

Asteroid played an incredible set at Timescape, so seeing him smiling beside the Sound Pop banner afterwards was a moment we were genuinely excited to receive.

His enthusiasm for Sound Pop—and for having Symbiotic, his track with Scott Ramsay, at the heart of Drop 001—has been incredible. We're so proud to have both Asteroid and Lange on board, and seeing how excited they are about the project means everything.

Two artists. One shared belief in Sound Pop.

Timescape 2026

Our very first Dino Dash.

Costumes, inflatable chaos and a full-on race across Timescape—the first Sound Pop Dino Dash brought plenty of laughs and two brilliant winners: Zoe Wheeler in the inflatable race and Bungle in the non-inflatable race.
